Elizabeth Legg, PhD, LPC, NCC
Licensed Psychologist ELegg@theroadlesstraveledcounseling.com 720-244-1468 My psychotherapy work with individuals and couples begins with compassion, respect, and a belief that our patterns of behavior are an attempt to meet important needs, even when that behavior results in pain, disconnection, and frustration. If you find yourself getting stuck in the same patterns, in spite of yourself, there is a way to break free ... to have peace with your past and to feel hope about your future. We all have wisdom and courage within us, but at times, we need help reconnecting with those strengths and with one another, as well as guidance and tools to move through difficult issues. Modalities Offered:
James Nee, LCSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker JNee@theroadlesstraveledcounseling.com 720-244-1468 I am a licensed clinical social worker and therapist trained in attachment and trauma focused approaches to mental health. I partner with my clients to help them better understand their emotions and facilitate healing from past traumas and attachment wounds. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as a consultant-in-training. I practice bout Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples as well as Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) for my teen and adult clients. I’ve found many of our problems stem from past experiences that negatively impacted our relationship with others and/or ourselves. I’ve found these models to be extremely effective in helping people given both models involve creating a safe and trusting relationship between therapist and client. This relationship allows my clients to safely go deeper into their emotions so powerful and lasting healing can occur. For families, I am trained in Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) and have completed the Level 1 Theraplay training. I find with younger children, Theraplay inspired interventions mixed with EFFT help to strengthen family bonds and help the family connect and communicate in healthier ways. Using both models, I spend most of time working with the caregivers in my family work. Research and experience have shown me that the most significant change comes from the caregivers in the family system, no matter the age of the child. Modalities Offered:

Abigail Prince, MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor APrince@theroadlesstraveledcounseling.com 720-244-1468 I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2012, specializing in trauma therapy. I have a background in working with complex and long standing trauma. I am EMDR trained and I have found EMDR to be far and away the most effective trauma therapy. It has been almost magical to see how clients transform with EMDR. I am driven by the passion to heal trauma. It is the way that I believe I can have the greatest positive impact on the world around me. I believe that overcoming trauma is the most liberating action any one person can take for themselves. Helping people change the way they think, act, and feel, especially in relation to something that has been interfering with their every day lives, is endlessly rewarding. Modalities Offered:
Laura VanWyk, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker LVanWyk@theroadlesstraveledcounseling.com 720-244-1468 My name is Laura Van Wyk and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am trained in EMDR and work with individuals, partners, couples, and polycules on a variety of issues related to love, sex and relationships. I am a clinical sexologist who practices with a trauma-informed and sex-positive approach. In addition, I find that an integrative model of drawing on all of the various types of therapies, uniquely mixed together to assist each of my clients in meeting them where they are, is how I am most effective in helping clients reach the therapeutic goals that they have identified. It also allows me to build on the existing strengths of my clients and create a therapeutic relationship and space where my client's may explore their agency and capacity to change to engage in the world the way they would choose to rather than repeating past patterns. I believe in the ethos of “helping others help themselves”; as a therapist, this is still my greatest strength as well as the cornerstone that has shaped my practice today. Modalities Offered:
