I have been working as a massage therapist since 2006. My passion for my work has continued to grow and evolve. Most importantly, I still find it fun. It is my goal to be part of helping my clients to achieve a state of optimal physical health, because I know that it is hard to enjoy life when you are constantly in pain. I understand that people are not carbon copies of each other and therefore adapt my approach to each individual I work with.
In 2008 I moved to Central America and spent three years living there. In that time I had the opportunity to do bodywork on people from all over the world. For this reason I feel confident in working on people with all different body types and from different cultural backgrounds. Additionally, as a member of The Sports Massage Team of Colorado since 2007, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many avid cyclists and runners. Because of this, I’m familiar with the common sports injuries that plague athletes and how to address them. I consider myself adept in various massage techniques such as deep tissue, sports, passive and active stretching, neuromuscular, myofascial release and prenatal, and can appropriately integrate those modalities into my massages. These techniques are very effective in addressing chronic pain as well making one less prone to soft tissue injuries in the future. I have a strong understanding of the body’s anatomy and enjoy applying this knowledge to my work. With that said, you are the expert on your own body and I always value feedback from my clients! I take my own health very seriously and look forward to working with individuals who feel the same way about their own bodies!
